My name is Droopy, they call me 'The Droop'.  I am a Grade Horse.    I was rescued together with with Lucky Boy.  This is our story... 

Lucky and Droopy were rescued together out of the kill pen for slaughter in Pennsylvania.  We were both very ill with pneumonia and a viral infection.  Lucky Boy was more critically ill, but Droopy was extremely underweight.  Tonight is our first night at Rivers Edge Horse Rescue.  Even though Droopy is very ill himself, his little heart is breaking with concern for Lucky Boy.  Lucky Boy was crying.  Droopy stood there wondering if Lucky Boy was going to leave him on this evening by passing away on him.  The sound of Lucky Boy crying seemed to fill the barn.
